I am a creative person who is part of Yeovil Creatives. I studied the History of Art and Architecture at the University of Reading, where I also took modules in Fine Art and Psychology. I describe myself as a lost artist and impulsive writer. Most importantly, I’m a mum of 3 children (-:

I am proud to be part of this outstandingly talented group, and attend evening sessions as well as participating in workshops and events.
Yeovil Community Art School 21/22


I was selected by submitting a portfolio. The school involved six full day sessions and culminated in leading a workshop in Birchfield Community Centre and a graduate exhibition at Yeovil Art Space in the Quedam. The school was funded by Arts Council England.

I worked with children at a local primary school to create painted flowers representing the different nationalities in the school as part of the school’s art week.

Poetry reading, Somerset Art Week, as part of Carolyn Lefley’s Ancient Sea October 2022
I was invited by Carolyn to read my own poem ‘Love is oceanic’ as part of her Ancient Sea project, St Mary’s Church. Stoke-Sub-Hambdon.
Poetry reading, primary school, November 2022
I was delighted to be invited to read some of my own poetry to the children as part of poetry week. ‘Love is Oceanic’ and ‘The wonder of life’.

Hopes and dreams exhibition, April 2024
My poetry has been on display at Yeovil Art Space in this exhibition.
Contemporary Craft exhibition, May 2024.
I displayed four poems at Guggleton Farm Arts as part of this group exhibition on the theme of reclaiming from ruins. The poems were titled: Kintsugi, Sea glass, Heritage and Ruins.

Words with Wine, August 2024
I organised a poetry evening in a local venue with two other poets and a poet/comedian compere.
